Graduate profile and potential career opportunities:

The graduates of the Undergraduate Programme in International Relations (UPIR) should have acquired knowledge in economics, social, legal and political sciences which give him/her understanding of how international relations and world economy function. The UPIR graduate should have analytical capacities, to understand local problems in a global perspective, as well as skills in communication, negotiation and persuasion. The graduate should be fluent in foreign language (level B2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference) and be able to use the advanced vocabulary in international relations topic. Our graduates are qualified to work in:

  1. central and local administration as mid-level policy officer or junior expert
  2. international organizations or local institutions having international collaboration
  3. enterprises present in international markets
  4. non-international relations related institutions (which the interdisciplinary character of studies should enable)

Application and admission procedure:

The Undergraduate Programme in International Relations is open to all international and Polish applicants. We do not request formal proof of knowledge of English. The ability to pursue the programme will be verified during the interview held in a friendly and relaxed manner. Every edition of the programme commences in October – with the beginning of the academic year.

ability to act and cooperate in conditions of interdependence and anticipate its effects on national political, economic and cultural development; deep awareness of the complexity and multicultural nature of the contemporary world and proper perception of states and nations in a spirit of tolerance and respect for cultural, religious and ethnical dissimilarities; comprehension of the causes, essence, effects and requirements of international relations for state business enterprises and social organizations; ability to analyze and critically evaluate programmes and doctrines motivating activity in the foreign policy of various countries; comprehending the essence of the decision-taking process in domestic and international institutions committed to international cooperation; rudimentary knowledge of negotiation techniques; acquaintance with comparative analysis methods, manners of collecting information on international facts and processes as well as basic command of the principles behind the scientific study into international relations; skill at developing habits of description and interpretation of the activity of members participating in international relations and international phenomena as well as ability to forecast their actions.

The programme is open to all international and Polish applicants. The candidates must obtain a bachelor, master or equivalent degree.
